Poker.com: New Room on the Net

Read a friendly, detailed description of a poker room designed for new players and old alike: Poker.com.

Poker.com is a new poker room geared for the lower stakes gamblers. For players interested in playing in no-limit games with blinds of $.25-$.50 or lower, I think this a decent poker room. Pretty much all of the games played at Poker.com are low stakes games. Plus there are many daily free-rolls that would interest a lower stakes player. Poker.com is such a new poker room, it is currently very small and few games are played for medium or higher stakes.

Bonuses and Promotions

Poker.com offers a 100% up to $100 deposit bonus for first time sign up bonus. When the bonus requirements have been completed, your bonus is paid in one lump sum for your deposit. Please take notice that Poker.com advertises a 50% up to $200 bonus, they mean that the bonus is 50% of your deposit amount up to a deposit amount of $200. Poker.com also puts up $5,000 in daily free-rolls. There are also two daily $500 free-rolls, which only require 100 raked hands within the last seven days. Then finally, they have at least ten $100 free-rolls that have no raked hand requirements.

Poker.com's free-rolls make it one a great poker room for a lower stakes player who wants to play the occasional multi-table tournament. The prize pools of the free-rolls are about the same as a typical $1, $3, or maybe even $5 buy-in multi-table tournament, which is what a micro-limit player generally plays.

Competition

The competition is slightly easier than at more established poker rooms. You should not expect the competition to be that difficult in this new poker room, because most of the games are low stakes games anyway.

Customer Service

Customer support is done completely via email. However the customer service reps tend to answer emails with a quick response.

Poker.com offers tournaments of Texas Holdem and Omaha with buy-ins at $1 to $100, and ring games of Texas Holdem and Omaha.
