A new medication that may help gambling addiction
Having an addiction to gambling can be a serious problem that may make you lose everything you own but due to the latest research by the scientists at the University of Minnesota, a new medication has been discovered that can reduce the desire to gamble.
Dr. Robert Freedman wants the public to know that gambling is a serious addiction, just like anything else out there but there is a possibility that it can be controlled. The medication that is used for this is called "Nalmefene" and it was tested upon 207 people who admitted to have a gambling addiction. The results showed that two thirds of the participants were showing clears signs of recovery.
There are tons of ways you can play a good card game or the slot machine without having to risk losing money. There are a lot of websites that offer any game you can think of for free, even bingo. Though the thrill is gone but at least you know that your money isn't.
There's nothing wrong gambling online with real money, which I admit, is obviously more exciting but the choice is yours, all you need is a little self control. What needs to be remembered is one needs to know their limits, sometimes enough is really enough.
