R&B Concert
On Monday, Aug. 21, Montel Williams will arrive to the Showroom at the Oneida Nation's Turning Stone Resort and Casino, for an evening of R&B. At his concert, Montel will cover songs from artists like Barry White, and perform with some of his own original pieces.
Although Montel is most known for his syndicated talk show, he has decided to branch out of it in order to pursue his lifelong passion for music.
His love for music began at a very young age when he was just in first grade. At those times he used to entertain his friends, playing the bass guitar, crooning Otis Redding's "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay." At the age of 14, he joined a band and was versatile in the trumpet, bass, keyboards and percussion.
The first time Montel combined his true passion with his occupation was In 1992 when he sang on his talk show for the first time. On his talk show's 10th anniversary he performed in front of an enormous crowd at The House of Blues in Las Vegas. But the most memorable moment he had on stage was his performance at BB King's 80th birthday celebration.
