A judge ruled there is enough evidence to charge 2 police officers with felony gambling by an office

A Comanche County Judge has ruled that 2 former police officers who have been accused of being involved with illegal gambling are to stand trial after being arrest during a raid on the Chickasha Elks Lodge.

The judge also ruled that a third officer should be released due to a lack of evidence against him for him to be charged with felony charges of illegal gambling by a police officer.

The three men are part of 8 former and current officers of the law who are being investigated after being arrested in a September 2006 police raid on the Elks Lodge in Chickasha Oklahoma.

Among the 8 police that were arrest is a sheriff and his wife who was also a police supervisor until her recent firing from the police force.

The District Attorney has conducted a year long undercover investigation that culminated in the September raid on the Elks lodge. During the raid several electronic gambling machines such as slots and video poker were found on the premises, police also found evidence that regularly help lotteries and poker tournaments were help in the Elks lodge.

All the items were confiscated for evidence against those involved in the illegal gambling operation.
