President Bush has Signed the New Law that Bans Online Gambling
On Friday, October 13, 2006, US President Bush made it official and signed the new law that would ban internet gambling. The new law bans people who bet money online and then transfer the money through credit cards, checks and Internet money transfers.

Because it will be considered difficult for the Federal enforcement to act like watch guard at all times, Banks and financial institutions must be their third eye. How it usually worked before the law set in was that a gambler placed a bet by using their credit card or using electric transfers like PayPal.

Rep. Robert Goodlatte, R-VA is the one who composed the legislation, has been against online gambling from the very beginning, he states that it has a horrible effect on society and the human beings we have become.

There are over one thousand gambling websites on the net. The American market has an income of over six billion dollars a year. The new law as all ready made a huge impact on one company Sportingbet Plc. They have sold their US operations for the cost of one dollar.
