2004 Week 5 Rankings, based on the BTS Computer Ranking System, are now available. The BTS Computer Ranking System is the most accurate Division I-A college football ranking system NOT INCLUDED in the BCS formula. The system is as easy as home/away wins and losses, a margin of victory capped at 17 points, and a system based on the results on every game played. Each game affects all 117 Division I-A schools. As a side bar to the rankings, the BTS formula does not rank any team prior to them playing AT LEAST one game.
BrownsTrueSports.com and the BTS Computer Ranking System are celebrating their Five-year Anniversary in 2004.
Week 5 2004 BTS Rankings Now Available.
Week 5 has come and gone with some of the most exciting games of the season coming down to the last play of the game. USC held off a pesky and record-setting California team that dominated every aspect of the game to win their fifth of the season. Georgia was dominated in every aspect as well from a well-prepared Tennessee team. And LSU's quarterback quandary is even more jumbled as Randall led the Tigers to a last second win at The Swamp. Army finally held on to preserve its first win in 16 games. Only one team in Division I-A has yet to win a game this year (Central Florida). There are still 14 teams in Division I-A that are still unbeaten. Keep your eye on Oklahoma State: they simply keep winning and winning big and may give Oklahoma a run for their money.
