Hearing on Tribal Casino Liquor License

2006-03-13 10:46:00
River Rock Casino advocate hopes to win state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control hearing.

Public officials and local residents voted this week against the River Rock Casinos liquor license application. The casino advocate, Ralph Saltsman, a partner in the Los Angeles law firm, Solomon, Saltsman and Jamieson, which specializes in alcohol license applications by tribal casinos still hopes to win in this case.

Bruce Goldstein, assistant county counsel claimed that the casino should not serve alcohol beverages in order to prevent accidents caused by drunken gamblers driving through Alexander Valley.

Sonoma County officials along with the Alexander Valley Association members will testify against the license application at a hearing before an administrative law judge from the state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
