Online gambling operators will be required to promote responsible gambling.

A draft Code of Practice was released by UK Gambling Commission on Friday. According to the draft, online gambling sites operators will have to monitor problem gamblers and to promote responsible. In addition, they will be required to publish advice to online casinos customers regarding spending time and money gambling online.

Conditions and Codes of Practice are scheduled to take effect in September 2007 when the Gambling Act comes into force. The new act is planned to protect minors and problem gamblers from the easy access to online casinos and gambling sites.

The draft Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice require from all the gambling sites operators to publish information about responsible gambling, to ban users who proved to be problem gamblers and more.
