Owner of Lucky Chances Casino and his niece and nephew are suspected of filing false tax returns.

The owner of Lucky Chances Casino appeared in a San Francisco federal court along with his niece and nephew on Monday. Rene Medina, Phyllis Reyes Cuison and Rawlin Reyes were arrested on suspicion of filing false tax.

Medina, 61, who owns Lucky Chances Casino on Hillside Boulevard, is also accused of filing false personal income taxes. The Reyes brothers were also accused in conspiracy charges.

According to the allegations, Medina subtracted about 2.6 million dollars in false business outcomes from the income of the casino. The government claimed it lost about 973,841 dollars from the fraud.

Medina was released from bail on a 6 million dollars bond. Cuison and Reyes were each released from custody on 500,000 dollars bond. All the three are scheduled to appear in court on March 23.
