PokerStars.com has invited 9 professional poker players to take part in its very first Pro-Gamer Challenge, a single table tournament with a seat at EPT Dauville event including all the expenses as the main prize. 4 players from UK, 2 from Korea, 2 from Sweden and 1 from US, all well known within their field, met each other at a PoKerStars virtual table. The four British players participated at the tournament from HarrowLife Internet Cafe in Harrow, where they were invited by PokerStars and given a private area specially set up for the tournament.
The last four remaining players were Marc Mangiacapara from Torkshire, a French player Bertrand Grospellier (ElkY) from South Korea, Iain Girdwood (Tillemran) from Glasgow and a manager of Four Kongs pro-gamer team Toby Aldridge (Tobes). All had more or less the same chips until ElkY picked a pair of aces and eliminated both Tobe and Tillerman in one hand and gained a serious chips lead over Mangiacapra. The game ended up shortly after that, when Mangiacapra couldnt beat ElkYs pair of tens and the Franco-Korean Korean player won his seat to Deauville EPT event.
