Las Vegas Sands will collaborate with Cirque du Soleil to create a unique show that will be performed on the Cotai Strip, the Macao equivalent to Las Vegas Strip. The premiere of the new Cirque du Soleil show is expected by the spring of 2008.

According to the agreement between Las Vegas Sands and Cirque du Soleil, Cirque du Soleil will solely create the show and Sands are responsible for building a new 1,800 seats theatre especially for the show. Cirque du Soleil will have the right to decide on the design of the theater.

Five additional entertainment halls are planned to be build in the Cotai Strip including a 15,000-seat arena, which will host some of the biggest names in the world of music, entertainment, and sports. The Cotai Strip is expected to be a center of casino resorts as well as entertainment.
