About European Slots

In European countries there are primitive slot machines that can be found in pubs, arcades and even take away restaurants. These European slots are called fruit machines or AWP (Amusement with Prizes). Fruit Machines are popular all over Europe, especially in Eastern Europe countries such as the Czech Republic, Russia and Ukraine. Fruit machines commonly have 3 to 6 reels with 16 to 24 fruit symbols around them. When these reels are spun, a certain combination of fruit appears, and if this combination is one of those included in the winning table, the player receives his prize from the machine or bonus games are played.

Fruit Machines:

Fruit machines actually are very similar to slot machines one can find in casinos anywhere around the world, but somehow they are different. The European slots located in pubs and arcades have lots of extra features, trails and sub-games that allow players to receive extra bonuses, usually larger than the sums one can win from the reels. However, the jackpots of fruit machines are very low. In Britain, the minimum payout percentage is 70, while the average one is about 78. Many machines are limited to 25 euro payouts and do not allow people to win more.

Fairplay campaign has alleged that UK fruit machines apply fraudulent techniques. The final result, which appears to be random is actually pre-determined and can not be affected by the player. The claims are based on experiments with PC fruit machines emulations, where computer memory can be saved and the game can be played again from the same point making a different choice. The issue has been considered by the UK Gambling Commission and they will either oblige to place notices near every fruit machine or will demand to modify the software.
